Hello everyone,
I own an apartment, On the 18 May i receive a note left by the bank to call them back or they will take legal against me for defaulting my loan (which is 4 months due), later that evening i call that number on that note explaining to him my situation, he accept and i can pay up by early next month. But 2 days later, i receive The Proclamation Of Sales left at my door way mentioning my Apartment gonna be auction on the 28 May. Yes i did call back the guy frm the bank, it seems that he doesn't know whats going, finally i call the bank and check and they confirm its on going and i have to payup my due balance plus legals costing $2500++ before the dateline.
Then that very night some family turn up wanted to see my apartment, i was shock and ask how did they know my house gonna be lelong?? he said there a note(flyer) at their letter box. Then the next day my upstairs neighbour call us and told us that our apartment is going on lelong again i ask how did he know?? It seems that the bank has left notes in the whole area, when i check them it actually the same copy of the Proclamation Of Sales jus photocopied and distributed in the area. The Proclamation of Sales consists of me and my wife's name and NRIC number new & old!!.
My question is can the bank open send out my personal details?? Yes BANK can lelong my house but putting our names and NRIC number on it???? and sent it out like flyers??? what will happen if some crack fella use our names & NRIC to register something and doesnt pay or do some other things which you & i never though of??? and the bill comes 1 or 2 years later claiming frm us??
More over the whole area seems to know i m broke now
I hope some one can enlighten me with some advice, we have already made a police report last nite.

By the way i have manage to pay up whatever i owe to the bank and they have cancel the auction.
