Your Malaysian citizenship will be revoked if you obtain citizenship of another country as Malaysia government does not allow dual citizenship. So does your pension.

I have some heresay knowledge of the pensions law with regards to pensioners taking up citizenship of another country. Can you kindly confirm for me please the following:
1. That a person who joins the public service before 15/5/1986 and subsequently retires will continue to receive his pension even if he takes up citizenship of another country.
2. That derivative pension will be paid to the remaining spouse if one of the couple passes on ( both are pensioners )

Appreciate your assistance

i have read through your article and find that it is comprehensive. But have an observation to make, in that this article is outdated as it does not cover acts such as the abolishing of residency requirement to enjoy pensions adjustment. And pensions now can be paid to pensioners who have taken up citizenship of another country effective from 1/12008.
Are you able to advice me whether the remaining spouse is entitled to receive the pension of the deceased if both are citizens of another country
thank you. John Choo

In many countries like the US where I currently reside, companies can be formed and owned by only ONE person
if the company does NOT owe any money
and does not wish to have partners.
The company can an LLC (limited liability
company) or S-corporation or just
a regular corporation.

I understand that in Malaysia, you need
at least 2 person. This seems kind of
rigid and OBSOLETE/OUTDATED.

When can Malaysia be more flexible
in allowing a company to be owned
solely by ONE person?

If I want to start a small business, it
doesn't matter which country in the
world, many people just prefer NOT
to have partners. If one does NOT
owe any money NOR have any shares
to the public but still want the benefit
of separating company assets from
personal assets rather than sole
proprietorship, many people choose
to incorporate.

Please let me know when Malaysia
can do something about allowing a
ONE person company?
Any chance that this suggestion
can be placed for voting by authorities
or the public to see if this can pass?

Thanks.

I am not foreign worker or expat. I am a foreign spouse married to Malaysian. May I know that how much the employer contribution for foreign spouse worker?
Should foreign spouse worker categorized to
the 12% or RM 5?
I'm really confused, as my current employer is only willing to pay RM5 as it said that EPF's rule but, my previous company, my employer contribute me 12%.

Pls advise
Thanks..
